Greaseyard is a car repair shop management game. The text below describes what the game actually does; it is not marketing copy.

Privacy

iOS app

No ads · No tracking · No purchases

Your progress is stored on your device. If you sign in with Apple, the same save is also backed up to our server; if you do not sign in, it never leaves your device. The whole game is playable without an account.

Once you sign in, this is everything our server holds:

The pseudonymous identifier Apple gives us (it does not reveal who you are)
Your game save — for cloud backup and restoring on a new device
Your shop name
Your repair count, earnings and level, for the weekly league

Your email address is not stored on our server. You are free to use Apple's "Hide My Email" option. Other players see only your shop name and your league figures.

There are no ads, no in-app purchases and no tracking. The app sends nothing to any advertising or analytics network and never reads your advertising identifier (IDFA).

The game may send reminders about where you left off. It asks permission first; if you decline, nothing is sent, and you can turn them off in settings at any time. Notifications are created on your device — they do not come from a server.

Deleting your data: Settings → "Reset Game" in the game deletes your cloud save but keeps your account. To remove the account entirely, use Settings → "Delete My Account": your cloud save, your name on the league table and your invite records are deleted from the server immediately and permanently. Write to the address below if you need help.

Browser version (greaseyard.com)

Your progress is stored in the browser's own storage (localStorage). Clearing your browser data deletes your save.

Anonymous gameplay measurements are sent to improve balance: which in-game day you are on, your level, your cash and which tutorial step you are at. Nothing identifying you is sent — no name, email, location or device identifier. The only identifier attached is a random number generated in your browser, and it is not linked to an account. You can switch this off with one tap in the game's Settings.

An account is not required; the whole game is playable without one. If you open an account, your email address is held by our identity provider (Clerk), your save is backed up to the cloud, and the shop name you choose appears on the weekly league table. Write to the address below if you want your account deleted.

Children

The game is suitable for all ages; it contains no chat, no user-generated content and no interpersonal communication features.

The game is free

There are no in-app purchases, ads or subscriptions.

Your progress

Your save is kept on your device or in your browser, and in the cloud if you are signed in. Changing devices, deleting the app or clearing browser data without signing in will lose your save. You can take a backup with Export Save in the game. We cannot recover lost progress.

Fair play

Trying to reach the league table by modifying the game or hand-editing your save may get those scores removed.

Liability

The game is provided as is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation; we do our best, but promise no more than a game can give.

Changes

These texts may be updated as the game evolves. We announce any significant change in the game and update the date above.
